The Newly Institute

With a fresh and comprehensive approach, the Newly Institute is at the cutting edge of mental health treatment. Recently opened in Calgary’s thriving community of Mission, The Newly Institute’s flagship location was designed with the overarching goal of creating a supportive sensory environment for patients to experience catharsis.   

As a backdrop for healing and navigating intense personal experiences, the sense of place created at the Newly Institute is above all centered around creating a sense of safety. The patient experience is supported by design gestures such as a flowing water feature that emulates the sound of rainfall, natural materials, live plants and rich textures. Treatment rooms are designed around the patient experience, with reclining lounge chairs and subtle focal points for the eye to land. Patients have a choice of two calming, private Zen Rooms to decompress after sessions. 

With their first clinic now open and operational, the Newly institute continues to build their momentum in fulfilling their vision of a brighter future for mental health across Canada.
