Mackey Design Group is an award-winning interior design studio founded in 2013 by Creative Director & Owner, Clare Mackey, and based in Calgary, AB. Our work is rooted in the belief that spaces should feel as good as they look, balancing function, flow, and beauty to create environments that support everyday living with ease and purpose.
We offer full-scope interior design services for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, guiding clients from concept through to completion with clarity, collaboration, and care. With over 25 years of experience, Clare brings a unified approach to design that seamlessly integrates interior and exterior environments. Guided by a deep appreciation for both architecture and interior design, her work is rooted in purpose, intention, and a strong connection to each project’s surroundings. She ensures that each space the Mackey team creates, reflects a balance of functionality, beauty, and the unique needs of the client.
Clare studied Interior Design at the Academy of Design in Montreal before earning a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies and a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University (TUNS) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Her career spans a range of roles across sectors including corporate, retail, hospitality, education, healthcare, and luxury residential. This breadth of experience gives her both creative vision and technical expertise, allowing her to guide projects from concept to completion with confidence and care.
As founder and creative director of Mackey Design Group, Clare leads with collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to sustainable solutions. Under her leadership, the studio has earned multiple masi Design Excellence Awards and international recognition, including as a finalist in Gray Magazine. She continues to inspire her team and clients with a dedication to creating spaces that not only look exceptional but feel deeply connected to the people who use them.

With eight years of professional experience, Jayde has designed projects spanning commercial, corporate, luxury retail, residential, and medical interior projects. Recognized for her calm demeanor and empathetic, user-focused approach, she creates immersive spaces that authentically express a brand’s identity while enhancing the overall experience.
An expert in 3D visualization, Jayde creates compelling graphics that clearly convey design intent, helping clients visualize and connect with each concept. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Interior Design from Mount Royal University, blending big-picture vision with meticulous attention to detail. Driven by a passion for sustainability and place-making, her work blends purposeful design with aesthetic excellence, ensuring each space is highly detailed and visually striking.

Recognized for her beautiful hand-sketching skills, she approaches every project with positive energy and fresh ideas.
Known for pushing creative boundaries, Stephanie collaborates closely with design and consulting teams, applying her expertise and eye for detail to spark innovative solutions. Olivia brings a passion for intentional, human-centered environments to her work. She first joined Mackey Design Group as a work term student, quickly impressing the team with her exceptional 3D design skills, precision, and creativity, we knew she had to come back full time after finishing her degree.
Guided by the belief that well-designed spaces can profoundly impact well-being, Olivia approaches each project with empathy, accessibility, and attention to detail. Skilled in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, she excels at producing clear, compelling visualizations that help bring ideas to life.
