Shaping the flow of family life was the fundamental goal of this extensive interior remodel. Reimagined as the heart of the home, the kitchen layout was revised to include an eating nook for the family to gather over casual meals, a chef’s kitchen and butler pantry built to the clients’ unique cooking requirements, direct access to the exterior herb garden and an expansive sliding door system to create a connection with the outdoor living space.

Throughout the home, traditional trim details were carefully maintained, and new, modern design elements were thoughtfully integrated through details such as millwork reveals. The intersection of these design elements intentionally honors the past life of the home while building a modern and functional future for its new inhabitants.
